10. Jeffrey Tambor wins Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series
Jeffrey Tambor dedicated his win to the transgender community: "Thank you for your patience, thank you for your courage, thank you for your stories, thank you for your inspiration, thank you for letting us be part of the change. God bless you."
9. Lady Gaga presents award for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Series or TV Movie
Lady Gaga dazzled in her simple black gown and platinum blonde 'do. She covered her face and laughed when Jenkins seemed stunned that he was sharing the stage with the pop star.
8. “Inside Amy Schumer” wins Outstanding Variety Sketch Series
Amy Schumer gave a special shoutout to her makeup artist for her smoky eye look and said, "I almost made a stupid sex talk show that nobody wanted, and [head writer Jessi Klein] got drunk and told me that I had to follow my dreams and make my dream show."
Schumer brought her sister as her date to the show and thanked her on stage, saying, "I want to thank my sister Kim, who's the only reason I'm alive and breathing."
7. Andy Samberg opening video & monologue
Andy Samberg might not have had his partner in crime Justin Timberlake on stage with him, but the comedian was able to hold his own.
He kicked things off with a video that poked fun at the massive number of shows available, and then moved onto a monologue that went heavy on politics.
"Sure, Donald Trump seems racist," the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star said at one point as he paused. "What else?"
When it came to diversity, Samberg called out nominees like Davis and Henson. He said, "The big story this year is diversity," he said, but then added, "So congratulations, Hollywood, you did it. Racism is over! Don't fact-check that."
6. Peter Dinklage wins Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series
Peter Dinklage won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series for his role as Tyrion Lannister in "Game of Thrones."
He admitted that he did not expect to win at all.
"I wasn't prepared, because the other actors in my category, I'm still sort of awed by all their performances," he said onstage.
5. Tracy Morgan presents award for Outstanding Drama Series
Tracy Morgan made a surprise appearance at the Emmys -- his first public appearance since his June 2014 car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs, a broken leg and a broken nose.
The audience cheered as Morgan presented the award for Outstanding Drama Series, which went to "Game of Thrones."
"Last year, Jimmy Kimmel said, we'd see you here next year, Tracy Morgan," he said. "Thanks to my doctors and my beautiful wife, I'm here standing on my own two feet. God bless all you for your love, prayers and positive thoughts for the past 15 months. I'm honored to be here at the Emmys."
4. Jon Hamm wins Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series

Jon Hamm of "Mad Men" broke his losing streak, walking away Sunday with the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series. This marked his eight nomination in the category.
Hamm, who played ad man Don Draper on "Mad Men," told the audience, "There's been a mistake, clearly. It's impossible to be named with all of those extraordinary gentlemen. It's impossible to have done this show with this incredible cast, these incredible people, our incredible writers, our incredible crew. And it's incredible and impossible for me, personally, to be standing up here."
To everyone's relief, Hamm, who recently separated from longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, thanked his ex. Phew.
3. Regina King wins Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Series or TV Movie
Even an actress as talented as Regina King couldn't have faked that enthusiasm. King's eyes opened wide as her name was announced and she shouted "Yay!" when she got on stage.
She also gave her son props, saying, "The fact that I get to share this night with you -- the best date in the house. You make being a mother my greatest accomplishment. I love you." Aw.
2. "Game of Thrones" wins Outstanding Drama Series
"Game of Thrones" took home 12 Emmys this year, but this time, the victory wasn't a bloodbath.
The "Game of Thrones" team thanked HBO for "believing in dragons" as they took the stage for Outstanding Drama Series.
1. Viola Davis wins Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series
Viola Davis got the most buzz on social media on Sunday after her powerful acceptance speech on making entertainment a more diverse space.
Davis quoted Harriet Tubman in her speech and urged Hollywood to write in more parts for black women.
"You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there," she said. "Here's to all the writers, the awesome people that are Ben Sherwood, Paul Lee, Peter Nowalk, Shonda Rhimes -- people who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman, to be black."
