Olympic champion McKayla Maroney has fractured tibia from fall during gymnastics tour

(AP) INDIANAPOLIS - Add a fractured tibia to Olympic champion McKayla Maroney's injuries this summer.

Maroney fractured her left tibia Sunday when she fell on her uneven bars dismount during the second stop of a 40-city gymnastics tour. USA Gymnastics said Tuesday that her leg is in a brace, and she and her family are consulting with doctors on treatment. It's not certain when she'll return to the tour.

Aly Raisman, who bruised her knees in a separate fall off bars, is expected to return this weekend. The tour resumes Thursday in San Diego.

It's been a rough few months for Maroney. She missed the second day of the U.S. championships in June because of a concussion and a nasal fracture, and competed in London despite a break in her right big toe.
