Covering a serial killer's tracks
To help visualize the serial killer's trail in the broadcast, "48 Hours" used a remote controlled, battery operated drone helicopter about five feet in length to fly over the rails.
The first photo shoot with the drone chopper took place in and around Weimer Texas, where some of the killings related to this story had occurred more than 10 years ago. Stephen Mick, director of photography for the shoot, mounts the Canon 5D to the chopper.
